What is the Product Fellowship?

The Product Buds Product Fellowship is a 10-week hands-on experiential learning, knowledge-sharing, and relationship-building opportunity for a cohort of aspiring product managers, allowing fellows to gain the necessary exposure to advance their career goals within Product.

Whether you are a student, a new grad or a professional who is looking to transition into Product, this fellowship is aimed at providing you mentoring, experiences and resources to take the next step in your PM career. All sessions will be held in the evenings and virtually!

Common FAQs

Who should apply to the Product Fellowship?

The Product fellowship is designed for aspiring Product Managers - specifically, we are looking for students (juniors and seniors only), graduate students, recent graduates or full-time employees who are looking to land a career in Product Management, i.e. no prior full-time experience as a PM.

What are some of the responsibilities as a fellow?

The fellowship is aimed at providing you mentoring, experiences and resources to take the next step in your PM career. You are required to commit 8-10 hours a week for 10 weeks to attend fellowship sessions, get to know your cohort and work towards the final product case study deliverable.

This is YOUR fellowship! We want you to make the most of it and give your 100% during the fellowship. Product Buds and your mentor(s) will be there to help you gain the skills necessary to be a great PM!

What is the general application timeline?

7/26: Application release
7/31: Application due on July 31, 2021 at 11:59 PM PST
8/2 - 8/5: Interviews to selected applicants
8/6: Applicants will be notified of their status by August 6th
8/9: All accepted participants must accept their sport and submit payment by July 9th
8/23 - 10/31: Program duration!

What does the Product Fellowship cost? Are there scholarships available?

Yes there are limited need-based scholarships available! Here are more details on the price of the Product Fellowship program:
• $200 for full-time working professionals
• [50% student discount] $100 for students at undergraduate or graduate institutions
• [Scholarships] We will have a limited number of need-based scholarships available

Funds will be reinvested back to support Product Buds operations and the community.

Is this open to people internationally or only to the United States?

Currently we are only able to accommodate participants in the North America time zones. We understand that this could be a barrier for those in other regions, but due to logistical reasons and securing mentors from the region, we will not be able to accept participants outside the North America area.
